Over the last few decades, the Indian Education the sector has witnessed the rise of a parallel education system within itself.
This alternate system, commonly known as Individual Coaching classes, has
become an integral part of each and every student of this country.
Initially, these classes emerged as a coping an instrument for students who were falling behind in the performance due to the
lack of disparity and medieval infrastructure in the Indian Education System.
One of the major factor influencing the quality of education in this country is
the number of students per teacher, also known as the student-to-teacher ratio.
The higher the ratio, the greater the number of students per teacher. Which
eventually lead to the allotment of lesser time the teacher spends on an
individual student. This whole phenomenon thus negatively affects the entire
academic performance of students as well.
Over the last five years, higher education
system of this country has registered an increase in their yearly enrollment of
students from 32 million in 2013-2014 to nearly 37 million in 2017-2018, which
eventually will go to help in determining the demographic dividend of this
country. Now Demographic Dividend can be defined as “ the boost in economic
productivity that occurs when there are a growing number of people in the
workforce, relative to the dependent.
But over the same period of time, the total the number of teachers has declined in the higher education system in India, from
1.4 million in 2013-2014 to 1.3 million in 2017-2018, thus increasing the student-to-teacher ratio from 24 in 2013-14 to 29 in 2017-18.
For a country like India, which is facing so many
difficult challenges, to date to reap its demographic dividend, making higher
education an integral part of the entire system is really very important. But
at the same time attention must be given to wholesome learning outcomes as
well. The idea of individual coaching classes emerges from this very idea of
increasing the quality of the education system as a whole and to cope with all
the decreasing factors affecting the Indian education system.
But now the outlook towards the individual
tuition classes have completely changed owing to the facts that nowadays,
coaching classes are like an extension to the basic curriculum-based education the system in this country and also comes with some added advantages-
Unlike basic classroom teaching in most of the
institutes in this country, individual coaching classes do not end with just
teaching the curriculum, but it also is known to provide students with relative
exam oriented suggestions, notes and also helps to overcome each and every
student's weaknesses.
Individual coaching classes also meant to provide
students with more individual time and attention from experts than what they
got from their respective schools. This frequent interactions with different
experts will eventually help them to enrich their experiences.
Individual coaching classes also provide its student with so many different planned ways to approach a particular topic
along with so many quick tips to make the studying more easy and
understandable.
But the rise of coaching classes in India taken
place due to one single fact, which is according to me, is that as the Indian the education system does not equip with any curriculum's or skills, which will be
going to help students to crack almost each and every competitive style
entrance exam to get into the elite institutes of this country. But there are
different individual coaching centers in this country, who designed their curriculum
just for competitive style exam and prepares their students for the same.
Hereby, it can be understood by now that the
advent of Individual coaching classes has transformed the education industry by
creating a corresponding genre. And the arrival of online education and digital literacy aggregates
is now improving the entire scenario both for the sector and the students.
