A few years back nobody could think of in Rs 200 ( approx 2.77 US$ ) one would get 45GB data and unlimited calling for a month, its dirt cheap mobile data which is actually thrilling Indian mobile consumers.

Mobile data was luxury few years back and it almost cost 150-250 Rs per GB (Approx 2 – 3.5 $ / GB) which is equivalent to have the luxury to use Mobile data.

All credit goes to Reliance Jio by Anil Ambani group has offered unlimited data and unlimited calling on their launch offer, which is rapidly accepted and spread like jungle fire.
During the budget speech by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal Data usage is increased by 50% in last five years, data consumption is driven my low cost of the data and maturing smartphone ecosystem which includes device, content and other service.





According to Jio 28 core user has led this phenomenal growth in data consumption.  For Jio, average data consumption per user per month is now 10.8GB and average voice consumption has been recorded at 794 minutes per user per month.

Video consumption drove most of the usage, increasing to 460 crore hours per month.
